We had a great weekend at Baby Celebration. It was exciting to introduce our infant ASL sets - the perfect new dad or new mom gifts. Our sets come packaged as a little baby-book, titles “My first sentence” & contains two onesies or toddler t’s (depending on your child’s size), each with a unique ASL graphic. So, you open the book and ‘read’, from one onesie to the next, an simple sentence that you can teach your child. Each baby shirt contains a corresponding ASL graphic.
Signing with your baby is one of the easiest and best ways you can promote early communication with your child. Our babies could communicate with us via ASL signs a good 3 months before they could truly form their first words. Imagine the frustration you take away by providing a tool by which your young infant can tell you they want “more” “milk”. Imagine how your heart will beat when you see your little 9 month old attempt their first sign. Not to mention the increased confidence level your baby gains by being able to communicate intentionally and effectively with mom and dad.
